The spiritual journey is a very personal thing. As such, it can be a lonely one for those starting out. However, after a while, when you have gained awareness and understanding, you will find not find it lonely anymore. You will find peace and enjoy the alone time. Life will not be so much of a mystery any more. Life will still be ‘hard’ and complicated, but you learn to take it in your stride.
I have never been spiritual in the sense that you understand the word. That has not been my way at all. But to me spirituality has a totally different connotation. It needs an honest individuality. It does not allow any kind of dependence. It creates a freedom for itself, whatever the cost. It is never in the crowd but alone, because the crowd has never found any truth. The truth has been found only in people's aloneness. - Osho
For me, spirituality includes the belief in things larger than ourselves, an appreciation of nature and beauty, a sensitivity to the world, a feeling of shared connection with other living things, a desire to help people less fortunate than ourselves. All of these things can occur with or without God. I do not believe in the existence of God, but I consider myself a spiritual person in the manner I have just described. I call myself a spiritual atheist. I would imagine that many people are spiritual atheists. - Alan Lightman
Spirituality does not require that you work hard toward achieving a result in the future as much as it requires you to be fully “present, sincere and committed now, with absolute honesty and willingness to uncover and let go of any illusions that come between you and the realization of Reality. - Adyashanti
Wishing you a pleasant experience on your spiritual journey.
