The Mind

My mind is at peace knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that which misses me was never meant for me. - Unknown
Image from the internet

Long before modern psychology gave it a name, the mystery schools of Ancient Egypt believed the human mind was like soft clay — constantly being shaped by every thought, emotion, and experience. They taught that the deeper mind didn't argue, judge, or question what it received. Instead, it accepted repeated impressions as truth, quietly weaving them into the fabric of a person's reality.

Think about that for a moment. Every time you replay an old failure, a painful memory, or a fearful future in your mind, your subconscious responds as though it's happening all over again. It doesn't pause to separate imagination from reality — it simply reacts to the emotional signal you give it. That's why old wounds can still feel fresh years later, even when nothing is happening in the present.

The ancient initiates believed true freedom began the moment you stopped living inside yesterday's pain and anchored yourself in the power of now. Because the present is the only place where new beliefs can be planted and a different future can begin. – A Facebook post by ‘Ellevenshot’

The Teachings of The Buddha

The one who has ceased to search for a permanent self among things that are transient is no longer a slave to his desires. He has found the means of controlling those clamouring selves. He has won deliverance from them. – The Buddha
Image from the internet

Develop the mind of equilibrium. You will always be getting praise and blame, but do not let either affect the poise of the mind: Follow the calmness, the absence of pride. - Buddha

He who, seeking his own happiness, punishes or kills beings who also long for happiness, will not find happiness after his death. - The Buddha

Just as the great ocean has only one taste, the taste of salt, so has my doctrine and discipline only one taste -the taste of emancipation. - The Buddha

Of all footprints, that of the elephant is supreme. Similarly, of all mindfulness meditations, that on death is supreme. - The Buddha

He who sees things as they really are, is not affected by scents whether vice or pleasant. - The Buddha

All things are transient and void of self. - The Buddha

Full of love for all things in the world, practicing virtue, in order to benefit others, this man alone is happy. - The Buddha

But when one masters this wretched desire, which is so hard to overcome, then one’s sorrows just drop off, like a drop of water off a lotus. - The Buddha

Think And Exist

People are more educated nowadays. They are beginning to doubt and question what they were told. People are 'waking' up. They are now able to differentiate between truth and falsehood. That is inevitable. This is a good sign.

The following are 'Food For Thought'. I pinched them from a Facebook Page called ‘Think and Exist’

Religion

Religion is divisive. It is one thing that the world does not need. We are all human beings. Yet, we kill each other over a belief, a faith, a religion. To me, this shows how evil religion is.
Image from the internet

The minute you get a religion, you stop thinking. Believe in one thing too much and you have no room for new ideas. - Ray Bradbury

It is possible that mankind is on the threshold of a golden age; but, if so, it will be necessary first to slay the dragon that guards the door, and this dragon is religion. - Bertrand Russell

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. - Steven Weinberg

Mockery of religion is one of the most essential things… one of the beginnings of the human emancipation is the ability to laugh at authority, its indispensable. - Christopher Hitchens

The religion of one age is the literary entertainment of the next. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

People have a peculiar pleasure in making converts, that is, in causing others to enjoy what they enjoy, thus finding their own likeness represented and reflected back to them. - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

To terrify children with the image of hell, to consider women an inferior creation – is that good for the world? - Christopher Hitchens

Spiritual Quotes

Develop the habit of thinking of yourself as Consciousness, not as the body or a person. - Mooji
Image from the internet

The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises. - Leo Buscaglia

The ground we walk on, the plants and creatures, the clouds above constantly dissolving into new formations - each gift of nature possessing its own radiant energy, bound together by cosmic harmony. - Ruth Bernhard

The main thing is that we are part of the reality in ourselves to perfect one’s power of discovery and that leads to the discovery of our organic ourselves without fear of immersing ourselves in the earth, the sea, fire or air. - Pierre Alechinsky

Evil exists to glorify the good. Evil is negative good. It is a relative term. Evil can be transmuted into good. What is evil to one at one time, becomes good at another time to somebody else. - Mencius

Ecology and spirituality are fundamentally connected because deep ecological awareness, ultimately, is spiritual awareness. - Fritjof Capra

In man's life, time is but a moment; being, a flux; sense is dim; the material frame corruptible; soul, an eddy of breath; fortune a thing inscrutable, and fame precarious. - Unknown

To be able under all circumstances to practice five things constitutes perfect virtue; these five things are gravity, generosity of soul, sincerity, earnestness and kindness. - Confucius

Unknowingly, we plow the dust of stars, blown about us by the wind, and drink the universe in a glass of rain. - Ihab Hassan

Tao Te Ching

The ‘Tao Te Ching’, Chinese: 道德碓; is a Chinese classic text and foundational work of Taoism traditionally credited to the sage Laozi though the text's authorship, date of composition and date of compilation are debated.

The Tao Te Ching had a profound influence on Chinese religious movements and on subsequent Chinese philosophers, who annotated, commended, and criticized the texts extensively.

The following are some excerpts from the Tao Te Ching.

Image from the internet

Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts,
you return to the Source of Being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

Without going out of the door one can know the whole world,
Without glancing through the window one can see the ways of Heaven,
The further one goes, the less one knows.
- Tao Te Ching

The sage does not go, yet he knows
He does not look, yet he sees,
He does not do, yet all is done
- Tao Te Ching

Express yourself completely,
Then keep quiet.
Be like the forces of nature;
When it blows, there is only wind;
When it rains, the is only rain;
When the clouds pass, the sun shines through.
- Tao Te Ching

Meditation

Meditation is a practice in which an individual train his or her attention and awareness, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

Image from the internet

Neuroscientists scanned the brains of meditators and what they found changed everything we know about the mind.

For most of human history, meditation was considered a spiritual practice — valuable for inner peace and religious development but outside the domain of medicine and neuroscience. That changed dramatically in 2011 when a landmark Harvard study published in Psychiatry Research provided the first structural MRI evidence that meditation physically and measurably changes the architecture of the human brain.

Dr. Sara Lazar and her team found that participants in an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program showed significant increases in gray matter density in the hippocampus (learning and memory), the posterior cingulate cortex (mind-wandering and self-relevance), the temporo-parietal junction (empathy and compassion), and the cerebellum. Simultaneously, gray matter in the amygdala — the brain's threat-detection alarm system — measurably decreased, correlating directly with participants' reported reductions in stress.

This was not subjective. These were structural changes in brain tissue — visible on MRI scans after just 8 weeks of daily practice.

Additional research has demonstrated that consistent meditation practice lowers cortisol by up to 30%, increases BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor — the brain's growth hormone), elevates baseline serotonin and dopamine levels, reduces systemic inflammatory markers including IL-6 and CRP, and improves telomere length — a direct biological marker of cellular aging.

The most accessible form: 10 minutes of breath-focused awareness every morning before engaging with any screen or stimulus. No app required. No special training required. Just sit. Breathe. Watch your brain transform.

The Universe

The universe comprises all of existence — including all physical matter, energy, planets, stars, galaxies, and the contents of intergalactic space. It is estimated to be approximately 13.8 billion years old and began with the Big Bang, an event where space itself rapidly expanded from an extremely hot, dense singularity. – AI overview
Image from the internet

The calcium in your bones was created inside a star that exploded billions of years before our Sun even existed. The iron in your blood was forged in the final seconds of a massive star's collapse into a supernova. The oxygen you are breathing right now was cooked inside the core of an ancient red giant that died long before Earth formed.

Every single atom heavier than hydrogen and helium in your entire body — every cell, every bone, every breath — was created inside a star that lived, burned, and violently died somewhere in our galaxy across billions of years. You did not arrive on Earth from somewhere else. You were built, piece by piece, from the literal remains of exploded stars.

The universe did not create you and then leave you alone in it. The universe rearranged itself, atom by atom, across billions of years, to become you. – A Facbeook post my ‘SkyMyst’

Science

Science – the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.
Image from the internet

The idea that your mind is woven into the universe is no longer just spiritual talk. It is creeping into serious science. A growing number of researchers are returning to panpsychism, the idea that consciousness is not made by the brain alone but is a fundamental feature of reality itself, present in all matter. Once dismissed as mysticism, it is now drawing real scientific attention.

What revived it is quantum biology. Nature already uses quantum effects in photosynthesis and bird navigation, so why not in the brain? That is the core of a theory from physicist Roger Penrose and Stuart Hameroff, who proposed consciousness arises from quantum processes inside our neurons. Some physicists go further, arguing the quantum information behind consciousness is non-local, reaching back to the origin of the universe.

None of it is fully proven. But the wall between mind and cosmos is no longer as solid as science once insisted. And the simplest connection was always real. The atoms thinking these thoughts were forged inside stars. You are made of the universe, briefly arranged into something that can feel it.

So maybe the mystics and the physicists are circling the same truth from opposite ends. What if consciousness was never something the universe produced, but something it was made of all along? - A Facebook post by ‘Astrophilesz’

Our Mind

Research has clearly demonstrated that the subconscious mind makes no distinction between constructive and destructive thought-impulses, and will drive our actions based on the material we used in nourishing it.
Image from the internet

A groundbreaking study from Stanford has revealed something remarkable about the human mind: your brain is not just passively observing your life, it actively constructs it in real time. Every thought you think, every belief you hold, has the power to shape your body and your experiences. This means that what you focus on, consciously or unconsciously, can influence your physiology, behaviour, and even your long-term health.

Neuroscience now shows that the brain is incredibly plastic. Neural pathways are constantly forming and reorganizing based on our repeated thoughts and experiences. When you reinforce a belief, whether positive or negative, you strengthen the networks in your brain that support it. Over time, this process can change your emotional patterns, stress responses, and even your physical reactions. In essence, your mind can rewire your body simply through repeated beliefs and thoughts.

This doesn’t mean the mind alone solves every challenge, but it highlights the profound influence of perspective and mindset on our daily lives. Practices like mindfulness, positive affirmations, visualization, and cognitive reframing work because they actively harness this neuroplasticity. By consciously shaping the patterns of your thoughts, you can encourage healthier responses, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.

Think of your brain as an architect. Every thought you entertain is like a blueprint, every repeated belief adds a brick. Over time, these bricks build the reality you experience. Recognising this gives you the power to consciously choose thoughts that support growth, resilience, and wellbeing.

Understanding that your mind and body are so deeply interconnected is a reminder that mental habits matter. What you focus on today can literally shape your life tomorrow. – A Post on Facebook Page EFTMRA EFT & Matrix Reimprinting Courses and Resources
