The Mind

My mind is at peace knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that which misses me was never meant for me. - Unknown
Image from the internet

Long before modern psychology gave it a name, the mystery schools of Ancient Egypt believed the human mind was like soft clay — constantly being shaped by every thought, emotion, and experience. They taught that the deeper mind didn't argue, judge, or question what it received. Instead, it accepted repeated impressions as truth, quietly weaving them into the fabric of a person's reality.

Think about that for a moment. Every time you replay an old failure, a painful memory, or a fearful future in your mind, your subconscious responds as though it's happening all over again. It doesn't pause to separate imagination from reality — it simply reacts to the emotional signal you give it. That's why old wounds can still feel fresh years later, even when nothing is happening in the present.

The ancient initiates believed true freedom began the moment you stopped living inside yesterday's pain and anchored yourself in the power of now. Because the present is the only place where new beliefs can be planted and a different future can begin. – A Facebook post by ‘Ellevenshot’

Our Mind

Research has clearly demonstrated that the subconscious mind makes no distinction between constructive and destructive thought-impulses, and will drive our actions based on the material we used in nourishing it.
Image from the internet

A groundbreaking study from Stanford has revealed something remarkable about the human mind: your brain is not just passively observing your life, it actively constructs it in real time. Every thought you think, every belief you hold, has the power to shape your body and your experiences. This means that what you focus on, consciously or unconsciously, can influence your physiology, behaviour, and even your long-term health.

Neuroscience now shows that the brain is incredibly plastic. Neural pathways are constantly forming and reorganizing based on our repeated thoughts and experiences. When you reinforce a belief, whether positive or negative, you strengthen the networks in your brain that support it. Over time, this process can change your emotional patterns, stress responses, and even your physical reactions. In essence, your mind can rewire your body simply through repeated beliefs and thoughts.

This doesn’t mean the mind alone solves every challenge, but it highlights the profound influence of perspective and mindset on our daily lives. Practices like mindfulness, positive affirmations, visualization, and cognitive reframing work because they actively harness this neuroplasticity. By consciously shaping the patterns of your thoughts, you can encourage healthier responses, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.

Think of your brain as an architect. Every thought you entertain is like a blueprint, every repeated belief adds a brick. Over time, these bricks build the reality you experience. Recognising this gives you the power to consciously choose thoughts that support growth, resilience, and wellbeing.

Understanding that your mind and body are so deeply interconnected is a reminder that mental habits matter. What you focus on today can literally shape your life tomorrow. – A Post on Facebook Page EFTMRA EFT & Matrix Reimprinting Courses and Resources

Minds Are Like...

Your mind is like a garden. Tend it well by filling it with positive, encouraging, and faith-building thoughts throughout the day. Disorder sets in when the garden is not tended to for some time; the same goes for our mind if we neglect it too long. - Unknown
Image from the internet

A man's mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth. Calm The Mind

A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does Self-awareness effect changes in the mind. In the light of calm and steady Self-awareness inner energies wake up and work miracles without effort on your part. - Nisargadatta Maharaj

Do not let trifles disturb your tranquillity of mind. The little pin-pricks of daily life when dwelt upon and magnified, may do great damage, but if ignored or dismissed from thought, will disappear from inanition. - Grenville Kleiser

Even when in the midst of disturbance, the stillness of the mind can offer sanctuary. - Stephen Richards

Cultivation of The Mind

Cultivation to the mind is as necessary as food to the body. Keep your mind humble, and open to new ideas. You will learn much more in the process, and continue to develop as a human being. - Unknown

The Mind

The mind is defined as “the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought”.

“It’s all in the mind,” people often say, without realizing how true that is. The mind is the root from which all things grow. Everything begins and ends in the mind. The mind is what makes everything else work.

Image from the internet

Control of the mind is the key to happiness. It is the kind of virtue and the force behind all true achievement. It is owing to lack of control that various conflicts arise in man’s mind. If he is to control them, he must learn not to give free rein to his longings and inclinations and should try to live a self-governed, pure and calm life. - K. Sri Dhammananda

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him. - Buddha

It is only when the mind is controlled and is kept to the right road of orderly progress that it becomes useful for its possessor and for society. A disorderly mind is a liability both to its owner and to others, all the havoc wrought in the world is wrought by men who have not learned the way of mind control, balance and poise. - K. The Mind

The mind grows by what it feeds on. It will always believe everything you tell it. Feed it hope. Feed it the truth. Feed it with love. You have power over your mind – not outside events. When you are able to control your mind, you will be free. Realize this, and you will find strength. We have to nurture our mind with positive thoughts. A negative mind will never give you a positive life.
Image from the internet

What shall I compare it to, this fantastic thing I call my Mind? To a waste-paper basket, to a sieve choked with sediment, or to a barrel full of floating froth and refuse? No, what it is really most like is a spider's web, insecurely hung on leaves and twigs, quivering in every wind, and sprinkled with dewdrops and dead flies. And at its centre, pondering forever the Problem of Existence, sits motionless the spider-like and uncanny Soul. - Logan Pearsall Smith

It’s all in your mind. Whatever you hold in your mind will tend to occur in your life. If you continue to believe as you have always believed, you will continue to act as you have always acted. If you continue to act as you have always acted, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. If you want different results in your life or your work, all you have to do is change your mind. - Unknown

The Mind

Image from the internet

We are so at the mercy of our minds that even when we find that the spiritual teachings strike a chord inside us, and move us more than anything we have ever experienced, still we hold back, because of some deep-seated and inexplicable suspicion.
Somewhere along the line, though we have to stop mistrusting. We have to let go of the suspicion and doubt, which are supposed to protect us but never work, and only end up hurting us even more than what they are supposed to defend us from. - Sogyal Rinpoche

This Mind of Ours

"What is this mind of ours: what are these atoms with consciousness? To note that the thing I call my individuality is only a pattern or dance, that is what it means when one discovers how long it takes for the atoms of the brian to be replaced by other atoms. The atoms come into my brain, dance a dance, and then go out - there are always new atoms, but always doing the same dance, remembering what the dance was yesterday." - Richard P Feynman
