Who believes in Hell? Is it a terrible place to which we sinners are condemned? Or is it a place of the imagination, fuelled by fears that have built upon the superstitions and religious relics of our society? - S. Kaye Saunders
Hell doesn't exist. Paradise doesn't exist.... they are only subjective dimensions of our minds, crystallized in ether formed by our active thoughts. In these regions, our inner sufferings last and multiply. - Maurizio Cavallo
The concept of hell doesn't fit the mould of a loving God. The god of the bible did not exist in any form, and ALL other gods were made up. Hell is imaginary, and Organized Religion only uses it to justify their religious dogma. No God of religion exists, and all holy books are no more than man-made mythology. As you live through intellectual honesty, you will reject the doctrine of hell and choose truth as your authority, rejecting authority as your truth. - Jawara D. King
Hell. It's one of those topics you don't bring up in polite conversation. Yet, according to a 2004 Gallup poll, 70 percent of Americans believe in hell. What exactly they believe about hell is not spelled out, but you can be sure that lots of colourful ideas are out there. Unfortunately, many of them originate from urban legends, spittle-spewing "fire and brimstone" preachers, and B-grade horror films (or some unfortunate combination of the three). - Sean McDowell
Hell doesn't even exist ... It's all in our minds. We invented it as a warning to those who don't live up to our standards. - S. Kaye Saunders
Hell doesn't exist. It is a creation by traditions of men and a misunderstanding of the Scriptures. - Leif A. Werner
Hell is a state of mind. It is a remnant of ancient man's fears and an anachronism from our primitive past. I disavow it; therefore, it does not exist. - S. Kaye Saunders
I have no fear of the Hereafter. An orthodox hell could hardly be more torture than my life has been. - Robert E. Howard
If there is in fact, a heaven and a hell, all we know for sure is that hell will be a viciously overcrowded version of Phoenix. - Hunter S. Thompson
If you're going through hell, keep going. - Winston Churchill
There are materials enough in every man's mind to make a hell there. - Henry Ward Beecher
To those who wish to punish others – or at least to see them punished, if the avengers are too cowardly to take matters in to their own hands – the belief in a fiery, hideous hell appears to be a great source of comfort. - Steve Allen
We do not believe in heaven or hell, yet no statistic will ever find that without these blandishments and threats we commit more crimes of greed or violence than the faithful. - Christopher Hitchens
Heaven and Hell are, in my opinion, much like God: a feel-good idea that swims in the minds of people, but has little bearing in reality. It's also a nifty way to control people through fear. - Unknown
If you keep your eyes so fixed on Heaven that you never look at the Earth, you will stumble into Hell. - Austin O’Malley
In heaven, all the interesting people are missing. - Friedrich Nietzsche
Of all the inventions of man I doubt whether any was more easily accomplished than that of a Heaven. - Georg Christoph Lichtenberg
To emphasize the afterlife is to deny life. To concentrate on heaven is to create hell. - Tom Robbins
