Yin Yang - The Taoism Symbol

Tao, or Dao – literally, means the ‘Way’.
The most well-known symbol from Taoism is certainly the Chinese yin yang. The yin yang is a symbolic representation of the world's polarities, dualisms, and fundamental dichotomies: light and dark, male and female, life and death.

The Taoist symbol can be used to explain Life in this way. In life, nothing is totally good, or totally bad. In the good, there is a little bad. In the bad, there is a little good. Life is about how you balance the good and the bad.

Everything comes from That which cannot be named nor described because it its beyond man’s comprehension; but for convenience it is called Tao. - Lao Tzu

Tao in the world is like a river flowing home to the sea. - Lao Tsu
