Tao - The Way of Nature

Taoism emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao, (The Way of Nature) which means aligning oneself with the natural order of the universe and the flow of energy (Chi or Qi).

Life exists only at this very moment. You may believe yourself out of harmony with life and its eternal Now; but you cannot be, for you are life and exist Now – otherwise you would not be here. Hence the infinite Tao is something which you can neither escape by flight nor catch by pursuit; there is no coming toward it or going away from it; it is, and you are it. So, become what you are. - Alan Watts

The Tao is supreme goodness. It has no form and is limitless. It is formless because there is no visible trace of its existence. The Tao is that energy that has existed from the beginning when there was neither structure nor differentiation. It is the source of life in heaven and on earth. - Shui-ch'ing Tzu

To study The Way is to study the self. To study the self is to forget the self. To forget the self is to be enlightened by all things. - Dogen
