Enlightenment

As with all learning, spiritual enlightenment is gained little by little. We can’t learn and know everything at once. That is just not possible. If anything, it would overwhelm us. In the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, we have to be very patient. The answers will come when we are ready, sometimes when we least expect it, in ways we didn’t imagine.

As long as we keep on the spiritual path, we will make progress. The progress might be so gradual that we are not aware of it. But one day, when we look back, we will see we have progressed far. As long as we do not give up, we will gain enlightenment eventually - perhaps not full enlightenment like the Buddha, but certainly some degrees of enlightenment nonertheless.

One must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him. - Buddha

Spirituality

Your life is a process of self-realization. Nobody is coming to help you. Once you start feeling responsible for your own life you start growing. The path of spiritual growth is a path of lifelong learning.

Zen

Tao - The Way of Nature

In the context of Eastern philosophy, particularly Taoism, Tao (or Dao) refers to the ‘way’, ‘path’, or ‘principle’ that guides the universe and everything within it. It’s often understood as the fundamental, natural order of reality.

Tao can be seen as the underlying principle that governs the cosmos, influencing everything from the movement of celestial bodies to the growth of plants and the behaviour of humans.

The Tao is often described as something that is difficult to grasp or define, as it is beyond the limitations of human language and thought.

What is essential to practice the Tao is to get rid of cravings and vexations. If these afflictions are not removed, it is impossible to attain stability. This is like the case of the fertile field, which cannot produce good crops as long as the weeds are not cleared away. Cravings and ruminations are the weeds of the mind; if you do not clear them away, concentration and wisdom do not develop. - Chang San-feng

Most people suffer from a case of mistaken identity, a kind of cosmic amnesia. We identify with our social persona and dramas, forgetting that – at a deeper level – we are each a unique creative expression of Life and the Universe. Identification with limited conceptions of who we are creates false divisions and limitations in our minds. It keeps us separated from each other and the greater community of Nature and Universe that we all belong to, that evolved and birthed us into being. Don’t believe everything you think. It’s important to connect directly with the embodied Universe that surrounds you and question limited beliefs society has planted in your head. - Tao & Zen

Chi / Energy
